The Secret Circle is an American television series aired on CW Television. It was developed by Andrew Miller, based on the book series of the same name written by LJ Smith. On May 17, 2011, The CW announced they had picked up the pilot of a series. It premiered on Thursday, September 15, 2011.

Britt Robertson plays Cassie Blake, the central character in the series, is a newly discovered witch. Thomas Dekker plays Adam Conant. Adam is one of the two men leading members of the Circle Secret. Charles Meade, played by Gale Harold, the father of Diana Meade, and the main antagonist. At the beginning of the series, he is shown as the man who caused the fire that killed Cassie's mother, Amelia Blake. Faye Chamberlain plays Phoebe Tonkin, daughter of the chief Chamberlain, and the danger of the group. She will use her magic to their own selfish desires, and in turn causes a power struggle with Diana. Diana Meade, played by Shelley Hennig is a classic and elegant beauty, and the leader of the sect. She quickly befriends Cassie with her positive attitude and contagious, and he put his magical powers to good use. Melissa Glaser played by Jessica Parker Kennedy, acts as a co-Faye bad girl, bad girl and insecure. At first, she feels she is in the shadow of Faye and must learn to confront their insecurities and their own identity.
